ABOUT ME

Communications · Social Media & Content Strategist · Author & Storyteller

I am Regina V. Roundtree-Wekesa — a communications leader, social media chameleon, strategist, and an author with more than 20+ years of experience guiding organizations and communities through storytelling, digital strategy, and social impact campaigns.

My digital journey began in the early 2000s, when I worked as an instructor at a computer training center, teaching adults twice my age to use Microsoft Office and build databases. I quickly moved into website creation with FrontPage and Dreamweaver, then explored the first wave of AOL, Hotmail, Blogger, and wiki pages that reshaped how people connected online. Those early experiences built the foundation for the social-first campaigns, analytics, and content strategies I lead today.

My career has spanned federal grant management, nonprofit leadership, and national advocacy campaigns, where I’ve directed initiatives for the U.S. Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, and multi-agency coalitions. These roles honed my ability to build consensus, lead diverse teams, and deliver measurable results across education, public health, and civic engagement.

Beyond professional leadership, my life abroad in Vietnam, Malaysia, South Africa, Zambia, and Kenya has given me a global perspective and deep cultural awareness. Living and working in these contexts sharpened my adaptability, empathy, and cross-cultural communication — qualities I bring into every campaign and team environment.

I am also an accomplished author, having written two novels and three novellas. Completing these works required not only creativity but also the discipline, fortitude, and long-range vision that I now apply to complex projects and organizational strategy.

At the heart of all my work is a commitment to clarity, connection, and impact. Whether I’m developing content that ranks, managing digital campaigns that grow communities, or leading teams toward shared goals, I bring a blend of strategic insight, creative execution, and cultural depth that helps organizations thrive in a changing world.
